Stephen Priest
Stephen is a Designer I, specializing in healthcare architecture. He earned a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and a Master of Architecture with a concentration in Urban Design and Development from the NewSchool of Architecture & Design. Currently, he is working toward architectural licensure while contributing his expertise in designing functional and inclusive spaces within the healthcare sector.
Before transitioning into architecture, Stephen proudly served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division as an infantryman. In 2012, he sustained severe injuries during his deployment to Afghanistan, resulting in the loss of both legs. As a full-time wheelchair user, he brings a unique perspective to the field, advocating for accessibility and inclusive design in the built environment.
His technical skills include hand sketching, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Suite. He is an Associate member of the AIA and is committed to pushing the boundaries of design to create more equitable spaces. Outside of work, he pursues an active lifestyle through traveling and scuba diving around the world.
